ASPNetLink provides a suite of application hosting services that will enable any business to put online a powerful and secure web service.

The way it works is simple. First, you specify a need - online shopping cart, support system, forum, dating site, etc. ASPNetLink will respond with a general overview of the available open source software and their capabilities. If a particular piece of available software meets all the requirements then a contract is prepared which specifies our responsibilities (typically installation, configuration, helping with branding, initial training, hosting, upgrading, monitoring and back-up) and the fees you will need to pay. The fees will normally be a set-up fee and then a monthly fee. There is never a requirement for a long-term contract.

If the available software needs to be modified then our development services will be required. Otherwise, we will install the software on one of our servers, configure it and then begin to work with you to ensure that the software is ready for operation and is properly accessed by your web site. Only immediately after the service is live does the billing of the monthly fees start, so you don't pay for the downtime between installation and start of live operation.

Fees depend on the particular software that is being used and the server requirement. For small applications with an expected low-load, a server can be shared. For large-load situations, ASPNetLink can dedicate a server for the client. By using open source software, we are able to keep initial costs down - you pay only for labor, not parts! You will also always be able to request the software that is being used in case you ever want to manage the project on your own.

Although each client's needs tend to be different, the following can be used to judge fees for common applications.

Within each contract will also be details about bandwidth fees. Due to the low cost of bandwidth, the complimentary limits are rarely exceeded. Furthermore, ASPNetLink provides 24/7 monitoring of bandwidth usage so that clients are not charged for unusual spikes due to worms or malicious behavior and are only responsible for valid site usage.

There are hundreds of open source web services available for usage and for each application type listed above there will be several options. Naturally, the services listed above are just the more common ones and do not reflect the full set of possible services.
